Extension Dining Table by Vladimir Kagan

Info

USA, 1967

This stunning Extension dining table was a centerpiece of Vladimir Kagan’s sixties designs and earned him a mechanical patent. It features a central wooden post with four retractable aluminum-wrapped supports, the original 3/4″ thick glass top, and two 24″ rosewood leaves which fit at each end of the glass. Without the end leaves it becomes a rectangular glass table measuring 66″ long, and with both leaves it can seat as many as eight to ten.
